The point? You basically get the full Forza Horizon 2 game just with fewer cars and fewer races. Also you have the ability to access the online free-roam capabilities through the in-game menu. The game itself adds no new locations to the original Forza Horizon 2 map. It only blurs the sides of the screen to make it LOOK like you’re moving faster, but in reality, the speedometer of the car stays the same. The nitrous literally gives you no advantage whatsoever with your missions.

So of course in a game based around Fast & Furious, the cars have to have nitrous (but only in races…). In the Fast & Furious mythos each car is outfitted with a tank of nitrous that once triggered it makes the car move faster than a stink bug in heat and in a shorter period of time. One thing that stuck out as a sore thumb to me was the ‘NOS’ ability that was added to the DLC. I’m honestly shocked that the DLC was able to tear down what Forza had built up over all these years in terms of the driving mechanics. The companion game seems to have automatically upgraded a vast majority of the cars you’re tasked to get to the point that they are a pain in the rear.

They range from muscle cars to incredibly exotic and fast cars, all aesthetically pleasing to look at, but awful to drive. However you are tasked by Ludacris’ character from the films to go and acquire 8 different cars. Sadly though, you don’t play any of the characters from the Fast & Furious franchise like I had personally hoped. The plot of the game is you essentially take back on the role of the character from the main plot of Forza Horizon 2. So a part of that is I decided to go ahead and give my thoughts on the product, let you know if you should download it on your Xbox.
